The Right Way To Run E-Commerce
For retailers getting into the mobile e-commerce game, there are two main options: A) stick with a killer mobile site to engage your customers or B) dive into custom app development. While larger companies can easily go both routes right out of the gates, a recent Nielsen report suggests that if you're looking to focus on just one or the other, you may want to go with the mobile site.
According to Mashable, "the combined reach for five big online retailers – Amazon, eBay, Target, Best Buy and Walmart – was around 50% of users for their mobile website, and around 25% of users for their mobile app." The survey was done using 5,000 smart phone users over the period between October 2011 to January 2012.
