As a leader in both commercial and residential development, Capano Management fields a high volume of requests from consumers looking to rent one of their many properties. Our development team conceptualized a fully online version of Capano's typical rental application, incorporating several components that would improve ease of use for both the client and consumer. The portal system automates virtually all facets of the application process; it includes a payment processing system and a background/credit check feature, allowing input from multiple applicants (primary/co-applicant/co-signer) to be filtered directly to Capano and the companies who scan applicant information. Users can save their information through their rental profile, with the added benefit of automatically inviting all co-applicants to enter their additional information, necessary for processing the application as a whole. While some aspects are performed manually by Capano (e.g. checking employment references and past resident references), the legwork of initiating payment and pushing information through the necessary channels is hugely simplified; and, with a client-controlled content management system, updates to site content and rental listings can be made quickly and easily.
