Having grown their business dramatically over the past few years, Ironshore needed a website upgrade that would go far beyond the bounds of the traditional "face lift" that starts and ends with design. Our creative team closely examined their existing site (originally designed and developed by our agency in 2008), conceptualizing a site-wide upgrade that would improve the overall functionality, streamline the site structure and address the need for increased compatibility for mobile-based users.

The new site features a dynamic website front-end, employing the latest design techniques (HTML5 and JavaScript) and featuring new areas such as a promotional area with target in-page product links, a user-friendly layout for expansive product pages and a restructuring of the news/press page to contain dual feeds and a sort functionality. Our creative team also restructured the site code to improve organic search engine results while removing any remaining Flash components that would infringe upon usability standards.

The programming phase encompassed a wealth of technical upgrades, spanning from the newly built internal search engine (to make on-site searches extremely easy for users) to the database-driven product library which is separated by region (US/International) and country. The previous version of our custom-built content management system was rolled into the new interface, using dynamic CMS driven redirects to allow for easy transition from old to new website without losing search engine page rankings. The new CMS functionality also allows for quick edits to be made on all of the site's modules, which make content updates seamless and even gives employees back-end access for internal paperwork distribution.
