Off The Wagon
Marked by a clever name and well-established branding, Off The Wagon is as much a product of NYC Best Bars as it is of the Greenwich Village neighborhood where it was built. Our design efforts were primarily focused on giving OTW's site a functionality overhaul that would increase usability and allow the bar to transition their existing web brand into a newfangled online era. In addition to developing a client-controlled CMS to allow for in-house updates to specials, news releases and photo galleries, we also integrated a third-party software package to link the bar's extensive schedule of televised sports straight from TV to website. When you're the only bar showing an out-of-market game in a touristy area of NYC, full-disclosure is key. Using large typography and full-screen images for the overall design, we worked to showcase the establishment's space and use its familiarity as the driving force for which their existing brand could be filtered into a website.
