Dog adoption with our client Morris Animal Refuge
Published:05/22/2017

At AYC we have a close relationship with our client Morris Animal Refuge, specifically Marc, our VP hostest with the mostest, who has fostered dogs for Morris in the past. Marc was bringing a particular foster in to the office, as this pup was being sponsored by Animal Planet, in conjunction with Morris for their annual Puppy Draft. I knew it was love at first sight, when this big goofy boy came bounding in to the office (the dog not Marc.) I was not in the market for a dog per se, but growing up with one, I have always been interested in having a beast to call my own. Upon meeting this particular good boy, I knew his temperament and laid back vibe would be perfect for me and my life in the city of Philadelphia. We scheduled a meet and greet at the foster home, so I could see him in an environment in which he was comfortable. Like “they” always say, when you know, you know, and I knew that I had to take this particular guy home with me (for keeps).
Come the following Wednesday, I signed the necessary paperwork and that good boy was mine. I’ve had Gus for two weeks now and I could not be more ecstatic to have him as part of my daily life. He’s a real charmer and a supreme wing-pup. We enjoy long strolls in the dog park together, and cuddling on my couch late at night. He’s more than a dog though, he’s my little live in best friend. I couldn’t be more grateful to both Morris and Marc for allowing him to come into my life. I consider myself more than lucky to be Gus’ dog mom and only hope that I can continue to make him as happy as he has already made me. Cheers to a life of slobbery kisses and MilkBones.
